Holman Insurance Agency, Inc. was incorporated on August 1, 1953. Its original owner was Doyle Holman, hence the name "Holman Insurance Agency."
The agency is now owned by William B. Malone, Sr.. In 1993 he was joined in the business by his son, William Malone, Jr.
The Agency is located in rural south Alabama in the town of Camden, in Wilcox County. Wilcox County's economy is largely based on the forest industry. International Paper Company is the county's leading employer, maintaining a integrated forest products complex between the towns of Camden and Pine Hill. With an abundance of wildlife and unsettled acreage, coupled with the growing popularity of Lake Dannelly, hunters and fishermen have found Wilcox County a popular destination for outdoor recreation. Roland Cooper State Park, located just three miles north of Camden, is a popular tourist attraction.
The area is proud of its historical heritage, boasting one of the largest collections of antebellum homes in the state. A bi-annual Tour of Homes features many of these homes, most restored to their original beauty and charm.
